Admission Policies

  • The school welcomes all students interested in the pursuit of scholarly learning, regardless of creed, religion and personal circumstances. The following minimum standards and specific policies must be observed:

    • A student is considered “officially enrolled” for the semester if he has met all admission requirements and paid his tuition fees either partially or in full.
    • A student should personally work on his enrollment papers.
    • As a general rule, students are not allowed to drop, add or change/cancel subjects after enrollment under any circumstance. In cases where this cannot be avoided, the student should submit adequate justification and have this approved in the form and manner prescribed by the Office of Academic Affair.

  • Incoming Freshmen
  1. Shall be a graduate from a secondary level program recognized by DepEd as evidenced by Form 138
  2. Submission of certificate of good moral character from the school last attended and/or from the Barangay authorities of the community he/she lives in.
  3. Two 1” X 1” pictures
  4. Xerox copy of birth certificate
  • Transferees
  1. Certificate of transfer from the school last attended and/or certificate of honorable dismissal.
  2. Transcript of records duly issued by the school last attended for evaluation.
  3. Two 1” X 1” pictures

Academic Scholarship

An academic scholarship is awarded to any graduate with distinctions: valedictorian, salutatorian or with honorable mention from any DepEd-recognized public or private high school in the Philippines.

To qualify, the applicant must:

  1. belong to a graduating class composed of at least fifty (50) students, as attested to by the school principal in an official document.
  2. the applicant must not have enrolled in any collegiate unit prior to enrollment at St. Therese.

The Registrar shall certify the recipient of the academic scholarship after reviewing the certification from the secondary school where the student came from.

The discounts given to an academic scholar on his/her first term of enrollment are:

              Valedictorian          -               100% discount on tuition and misc. fees
              Salutatorian            -                 50% discount on tuition and misc. fees
              Honorable Mention -                 35% discount on tuition and misc. fees
 

"Iskolar ng Barangay" Program

ST. THERESE INSTITUTE is a learning institution believes in equal opportunities to quality education for all. Within the limits of its resources, the Institute shall endeavor to provide access to education to deserving students by virtue of their scholarships.

The grant of “Iskolar ng Barangay” scholarship is given to a bonafide resident of a particular barangay who had executed a Memorandum of Cooperation with St. Therese. This is an extended program of the Institute to help strengthen the education program of the barangay community.

The “Iskolar ng Barangay” scholarship program is applicable only on the students first trimester and can be continuously enjoyed by the recipients upon maintaining the grades requirement set by the Scholarship Committee. All applicants are subject to an evaluation set by the Scholarship Committee.
