The idea of establishing a learning institution was prompted by the desire of the founders to provide access for an affordable quality education. ST. THERESE is the product of more than a year of planning by originally six result-oriented educators who were propelled by their vision to organize learning institution that will provide affordable quality education to the masses. Pooling their resources together, the group started their dream and courageously faced challenges in the business world of education. With the group’s convincing efforts and positive thinking, equipped with their common belief and principle, more and more members of the academe and interested parties have joined until they realized that their group grew to more than 20 members.

Thus, on May 23, 2003, the school was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under the name ST. THERESE OF THE CHILD JESUS INSTITUTE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES, INC. It is a non-stock, non-sectarian corporation which is wholly owned by highly competent and well-seasoned group of educators in their own fields of specialization.

The school’s commitment is simple. It is to provide quality and most affordable education to the masses. To carry out this professional mission, the school operates under the system, organization and management principles observed in educational institutions with determination and respect to the rights of others.

Patron Saint

St. Therese of the Child Jesus
1873-1897

Marie Thérèse Martin was born at Alençon, France on January 2, 1873, the youngest of five daughters. Her father, Louis, was a watchmaker, and her mother, Zelie, who died of breast cancer when Thérèse was four, was a lace maker. She was brought up in a model Christian home. While still a child she felt the attraction of the cloister, and at fifteen obtained permission to enter the Carmel of Lisieux.
For the next nine years she lived a very ordinary religious life. There are no miracles, exploits or austerities recorded of her. She attained a very high degree of holiness by carrying out her ordinary daily duties with perfect fidelity, having a childlike confidence in God’s providence and merciful love and being ready to be at the service of others at all times. She also had a great love of the Church and a zeal for the conversion of souls. She prayed especially for priests. She died of consumption on September 30, 1897, at the age of 24, and was canonized in 1925. She has never ceased to fulfill her promise: “I will pass my heaven in doing good on earth.”

Thérèse is known for her "Little Way." In her quest for sanctity, she realized that it was not necessary to accomplish heroic acts, or "great deeds", in order to attain holiness and to express her love of God. She wrote, "Love proves itself by deeds, so how am I to show my love? Great deeds are forbidden me. The only way I can prove my love is by scattering flowers and these flowers are every little sacrifice, every glance and word, and the doing of the least actions for love."

This institution believes that through education, our “ little way” , the desire of providing appropriate technical skills training will uplift the less-privileged citizens to an opportunity that will change their lives. This noble intention of an affordable education  is our commitment  to be of great help to God and mankind.
